Stoneware
Yes, we do stoneware as well. This is where I started over 20 years ago, and have continued to toy with it. We have been making stoneware only available at our annual open house, but now will be available year round as we introduce it at various festivals and shows.
I have always been fascinated creating something functional, but never found stoneware finishes that I could do that I wanted to claim when they were done. Our current design came from special order from a friend of ours, he pointed to one of our blackware pieces and said he wanted that in a coffee cup, a “man’s sized” coffee cup. I played around a little bit, and he ended up with a cup that held half to two-thirds of a pot of coffee. All of our stoneware is meant to be used, eat off it, drink out of it, cook, mix, etc. Each piece is hand made, and all glazes are brushed on by either my wife or I. We have found this helps add variegation in each piece. Our stoneware is considered "mid-range" and fired to approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit.
Our stoneware is microwave, dishwasher and oven safe.
